 Storm Water Diversion swales

Tempe Demonstration Garden

Tempe Demonstration Garden storm water diversion details I constructed diverting water off the turf and to an area of trees.   The water originating from an adjacent HOA contains oils, rubber and dirt eventually discoloring the grass.  Photo RBond

Before – After

Top – AFTER, rock aliments have been put in place using leveling string and 10 foot spacing.  The spacing was centered off the side walk to appear as meandering thru the terrace.  Irrigation supplied by Landscape Products Laser Tubing on 12″ centers.    Bottom – BEFORE, original turf before desert conversion.   Photos RBond

Capturing or diverting water can come in many designs, no two are alike.  The sky is the limit,  Im interested to take a look at how you can harvest your rain water.
